The Macedonian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, LjupchoNikolovski, said on Friday once again that citizens should not worry about whether there will be enough food, but also that “we can forget” about cheap food.
As Nikolovski pointed out in an interview with TV 24, the peak of the food crisis is expected in the next two years, and therefore we need to take action now. In this context, he pointed out, it is good that Open Balkans was established, the initiative that means removing all barriers in the region for free flow.
“There will be imports of wheat,” Nikolovski said, especially from Serbia because Macedonia did not have enough quality bread grain.
