The Ministry of Education and Science regularly services its obligations to all entities for which it has regulated legal competences or with which it has concluded agreements on various grounds that initiate financial obligations, which is not the case with JSP Skopje. The Law on Higher Education (Article 27 paragraph 6) stipulates that the Government can make a decision on special facilities for students, such as a student card for discounts, free city transport and others, whereby the funds are provided from the state budget.

However, this calendar year, such a decision has not been made, due to the fact that in the winter semester of the academic year 2021/2022, students did not attend classes with physical presence at the units of the University “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, it is stated in today’s press releasefrom the MES, after yesterday the JSP accused that the MES owes him around 2 million euros for the free transportation of pupils and students.
