20 tons of UHT permanent milk “MILKANO” 3.2 percent, imported from BiH, were withdrawn from retail sale due to the determined presence of aflatoxin M1 above the maximum allowed amount of 0.05 micrograms per kilogram, according to Macedonian regulations.
The Food and Veterinary Agency (FVA) said that all other products of this brand are safe, with the exception of milk with the specified lot and expiration date.
Unsafe milk will be returned to the producer if the competent veterinary authorities from BiH accept it. Otherwise, it will be destroyed in the Drisla landfill.
An order to withdraw the unsafe product from the shelves has also been issued to the food operator, who has already informed the general public about this action.
