A decision has not yet been made whether after November 15 the heating plants in Skopje will run on natural gas or diesel, the Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi confirmed at a press briefing on Thursday.
“Residents of Skopje should rest assured, they will be supplied with thermal energy smoothly and continuously until the end of the heating season. The decision has not yet been made whether after September 15 the heating plants will operate on natural gas or diesel, but thermal energy will be available regularly,” Bekteshi told today’s press briefing.
The economy minister stressed that all heating plants, including TE-TO, which is a privately owned cogeneration plant, should have an alternative fuel other than the one used as the main fuel for the production of heat or electricity.
