After about ten days of silence, MPs from the ruling SDSM and DUI mustered courage and shamelessly rejected the proposals of VMRO-DPMNE and the Coalition “Renewal of Macedonia” to provide help for the citizens, opposition MP Bojan Stojkoski said on Saturday.

The MP said that the VMRO-DPMNE proposal provided financial support of 3,000 denars per month until the end of April for all single parents, all high school students, all pensioners, all unemployed persons who are actively looking for work, all children without parents and parental care and all beneficiaries of guaranteed minimum assistance.

“The aid set that the Government submitted to the Parliament is not over 300 million euros, but less than 20 million euros, and a large number of citizens have been forgotten,” Stojkoski pointed out.

The VMRO-DPMNE MP added that in conditions of galloping inflation of 20%, when food is more expensive by over 30%, a budget of 5.3 billion euros for the coming year, we consider it an insult that the members of the government do not muster the courage to at least give the people with physical disabilities the support increased from 750 to 1,500 denars.
