The family of former Karposh Mayor Stefan Bogoev bought a property with a building permit for a 4-storey hotel on the very shore of Lake Berovo at a price of MKD 400 per m2, revealed VMRO-DPMNE on Monday.
Bogoev’s property covers over 7,000 square meters on the very shore of the lake, and there is a permit for the construction of a hotel on the property. With a hotel on that area, Bogoev will literally monopolize the lake. All this happened a few days before the local elections last year, when members of the Bogoev family bought the land, and the company was already registered.
Institutions should investigate how Bogoev from being the mayor of Karposh became a potential investor in a hotel through his family, reads the opposition party’s press release.
