The Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European affairs, Bojan Marichikj, accompanied by the main negotiator with the EU for the Republic of Albania, Majlinda Dhuka, signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on issues related to integration in the European Union, within the second intergovernmental session of Macedonia and Albania, which was held in Skopje on Tuesday.
“With the Republic of Albania, we remain in the European integration process, giving selfless support to each other, both on a political and technical level. We work together and have a visible degree of collaboration and closeness between our teams at expert level when we are in Brussels. Today we are making official what we discussed at the last meeting with my colleague Majlinda Dhuka,” said Deputy Prime Minister Marichikj.
According to the deputy PM, the Memorandum of Cooperation on issues related to integration in the European Union is an instrument for institutionalizing the cooperation between North Macedonia and Albania, which will help both countries to better prepare for joining the European Union as full-fledged members.
