According to the Meat and Meat Products Processing Group of the Chamber of Commerce, prices have decreased by five percent, primarily for domestic fresh pork, however, each company individually decides how much they will sell their products for. In order to reduce the price of meat products immediately, by more than 10-15 percent, it is necessary to exempt the import duties on frozen pork for processing, which was in force for four years and ended in June 2022, and which led to price increases.
A dozen companies from the meat industry have had their applications for subsidized electricity rejected because they have photovoltaics. They have already reduced the prices of 50 products, but they do not know how long the reduction will last. They expect to overcome the problem as soon as possible and to sign the contracts for a fixed price of electricity.
