Member of the VMRO-DPMNE Executive Committee Maja Kadievska Vojnovikj, in a n interview with TV21, stressed that for inflation there are factors that are imported and are common to all countries in the world and in Europe, and there are factors that are domestic who contribute to the double-digit inflation in Macedonia, which is the highest since 1995.
As a matter of “imported factors”, she mentioned the COVID-19 pandemic that closed the production process and the war in Ukraine, which further increased inflation, and the double-digit and highest inflation in Macedonia, she pointed out that it was due to domestic factors such as the increase in wages without being increased productivity and the reduction of the labor force, among others, through employment in the public sector.
