We have no alternative but EU membership. And that path to the EU will not be easy, but it must be taken. Because at the end of that road is the big prize, full membership in the EU. Our citizens, the future generations, will live in the EU, richer and with a better standard than what they have now, and our society will be transformed into a society with European values, the leader of SDSM and Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski told MIA news agency on Sunday.
“Look at all the member countries that were in our situation many years ago, and that experienced serious growth and development after joining the EU. And their path was not easy, and their transformation was gradual and difficult, but today their citizens have a chance to live in countries with a better standard, to become richer, to live European and freely”, said Kovachevski.
“Whether we will be there now depends only on us. The hands of support from our friends, this chance we have, we must not miss,” said the SDSM leader Dimitar Kovachevski in an interview with MIA.
