The list of products that will be taxed at 10 percent should be drawn up by the Ministry of Finance, and before it is adopted by the Government, chambers of commerce and consumer protection organizations will be consulted, they are in the interest of citizens, said Macedonian Minister of Economy KreshnikBekteshi at a press conference on the new Budget.
“Basic food products will start to be taxed at 5 percent. Before the list is final and adopted by the Government, it is given for consultation with the chambers of commerce, and especially with the consumer protection organizations, in order to jointly make a list that will be in the interest of the consumers. I think that in the next two weeks we would have the draft list which will be shared with all stakeholders,” Bekteshi said.
