Electricity for households up to 4 percent more expensive next month?

The three energy companies submitted their requests to Energy and Water Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of N. Macedonia (ERC) for the price of electricity on the regulated market, starting January 1, 2023.

MEPSO is demanding a 29.75 percent increase in the electricity transmission price, EVN Elektrodistribucija is demanding a 2.8 percent reduction in the distribution service, and the universal supplier EVN Home is demanding a five percent increase in the supply price.

“If the demands as stated are accepted, the average price of supply to small consumers and households would increase by 3.5 to 4 percent, and the increase in VAT from 5 to 10 percent would have an impact of 4.72 percent. on the final cost,” said the ERC president Marko Bislimoski at a press conference on Monday.
