Extremely polluted air in three cities in Macedonia

The Institute of Public Health informs that according to the European Air Quality Index, the current Air Quality Index is categorized as “Extremely bad (poor)” at the measuring stations in Berovo, Gostivar and Tetovo due to increased concentrations of PM2.5 particles.

The air in Strumica, Bitola 2, Kichevo is classified as “very poor quality” due to increased concentrations of PM10 particles, while in Gjorche Petrov due to increased concentrations of PM2.5 particles.

In Skopje (Lisiche and Centar), Negotino and Prilep as “poor” due to increased concentrations of PM10 particles, while in Kochani and Gevgelija due to increased concentrations of PM2.5 particles.
