The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) issued 267 licenses in just one year for the production of electricity from renewable sources, mostly for photovoltaic power plants that produced 106.5 megawatt-hours of electricity.

The capacity of RES power plants corresponds to HPP Kozjak, HPP SvetaPetka and the wind farm in Bogdanci. This produced electricity from RES can supply 65,700 households or approximately six cities together, Ohrid, Tetovo, Kratovo, Krusevo, KrivaPalanka and SvetiNikole. In 2023, we have received 13 new requests for photovoltaics and I believe that there will be new 250 to 300 megawatts installed this year alone,” said the ERC head Marko Bislimoski.
