The mobile teams of the Customs Administration seized 60 kilograms of the intoxicating drug marijuana, intended for the European market, yesterday at the Deve Bair border crossing. With this, as announced by the Customs Administration, an international channel of illegal drug trade has been prevented. The value of the seized drugs on the illegal market is estimated at 240 to 300 thousand euros.
“Sunday afternoon on the way out of the country, the police, during a customs control of a car with Romanian license plates driven by Romanian citizens, found the intoxicating drug marijuana with a total weight of 60 kilograms. The narcotic drug was found in specially made bunkers in the vehicle, where 64 packages of marijuana were hidden,” reads the Customs Administration’s press release.
