The Macedonian Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jovanka Trenchevska said on Tuesday that the draft laws on labor relations and the wage system do not reduce workers’ rights.
According to Trenchevska, both laws promote labor rights. He assessed as positive the provisions in the law on labor relations, which reduce the duration of fixed-term contracts from the current five to two years.
“Workers will not be able to sign an annex to the contract with the same employer more than three times in a period of two years, which means that they will not sign every month,” said Minister Trenchevska.
