Bulgaria will request with a note to provide access to Bulgarians traveling to North Macedonia to worship at the Goce Delchev monument on February 4. Representatives of the Bulgarian embassy will also participate in the event, announced the Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolay Milkov on Friday.
“Blockades on the road to Skopje against the Bulgarian neo-Nazis are being organized on social media in North Macedonia. It is crucial to ensure the safety of Bulgarians there. Ensuring a smooth observance of February 4 is an element of that. We want to achieve de-escalation. We do not run away from such a dialogue,” Milkov pointed out.
According to Bulgaria’s foreign minister, if North Macedonia obstructs the access of Bulgarian citizens, it would be unprecedented.
