Thirty-six percent of the world’s population wants to migrate. Among the potential migrants are mostly young people who are in a difficult economic situation. This is shown by the results of the public opinion survey conducted by the Gallup International Association in 57 countries, covering about two-thirds of the world’s population (and about 90 percent of the countries that are free to conduct and publish public opinion polls).
To the question, “If you had all the necessary documents, would you like to live in another country or would you like to stay in the country you are in?”, 42 percent of the surveyed Macedonian nationals replied with “another country”, 55 percent replied that they prefer to stay where they are, and the remaining said “I don’t know”.
