On Saturday around 12 pm at the Star Dojran border crossing, police officers from the Star Dojran Border Crossing Police Station arrested 47-year-old Serbian citizen M.K. for human trafficking.
In cooperation with customs officers, a control was carried out in the cargo vehicle DAF with a semi-trailer with Serbian national markings, which was driven by the detainee, during which 20 people were found, who turned out to be migrants from Syria.
The suspect was detained at the police station, and the migrants were taken to a reception-transit center for further processing. The Public Prosecutor’s Office was informed about the event and after fully documenting the case, an appropriate report will be filed.
