The President of Hungary Katalin Novák at a press conference on Monday with Macedonian President Pendarovski said that the judiciary decides on the asylum of former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski in her country.
“Regarding Gruevski, I would like to say that it is within the competence of our judiciary. I am very happy that during my visit I was convinced that our mutual cooperation at the state level is developing successfully and it will continue to be built. The relations between Hungarian and Macedonian citizens are at a high level and this does not affect any criminal issues”, answered Novak to the question, whether a person who is blacklisted in the USA and for whom many procedures for corruption and crime are being conducted, can receive asylum from Hungary and how,” said the Hungarian president.
