On 02.09 and 10.02.2023, the Criminal Police Department, Sector for Illicit Trafficking in Drugs, Weapons and Dangerous Substances – Unit for Illicit Trafficking in Drugs on the territory of the state carried out coordinated enhanced activities to detect perpetrators of crimes related to with illegal trade in drugs and weapons, during which 26 people were deprived of their freedom.
“The activities included 53 persons who were known to be involved in drug and weapons smuggling, and searches were carried out in 46 houses and utility rooms, seven apartments, five passenger motor vehicles and two business facilities in 29 municipalities and the city of Skopje,” said the MoI spokesperson Suzana Pranjikj-Talevska.
