The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg announced that the applications of the convicted and accused from the cases opened by the SPO, which former President Gjorge Ivanov pardoned, are inadmissible.
The court considers that the accused and convicted have failed to exhaust domestic legal remedies. The decision is final, the ECtHR said.
The applications in Strasbourg were submitted by some of the former officials against whom the SPO opened proceedings, and the reason for them is the abolition that the former President Gjorge Ivanov granted in 2016, but he later withdrew it after the public’s stormy reactions
