Healthcare workers in Skopje and other cities throughout the country protested during their work break. They demanded an increase and payment of wages without delay, compliance with changes in the minimum wage, signing a collective agreement, better working conditions and retention of the medical staff in the country.
According to the data from the Chamber of Doctors, 2,200 doctors have left the country in the last three years, and about six thousand nurses have left the country for work in the last three to five years.
