The State Statistics Office (SSO) announced that the natural increase of the population in the country has decreased. In the fourth quarter of 2022, it is 616 people, which means that the number of live births is less than the number of deceased people.
In the fourth quarter of 2022, 4,427 children were born alive, and compared to the same period of the previous year, their number decreased by 4.7 percent. The number of people who died in the fourth quarter of 2022 recorded a decrease of 26.8 percent compared to the same quarter of 2021, i.e. 5,043 people, of which nine were infants.
In this quarter 2022, 2,762 marriages were concluded and their number decreased by two percent compared to the same period of 2021.
For the fourth quarter of 2022, 339 reports of divorced marriages were received, representing a decrease of 39.1 percent compared to the same quarter of 2021.
