The private bus companies in the public bus transport and the City of Skopje reached an agreement on Wednesday for the payment of the debt of EUR 1.5 million, private bus companies’ member Jovica Zafirovski told the media.
In November 2022, private bus companies ceased to be part of the city’s public transport due to debts that they demanded to be paid by the City of Skopje. In late November and early December, more than 300 buses parked at key intersections blocked the capital. In the meantime, the city authorities rejected the allegations that they were owed money, but the inspection showed that the City of Skopje was wrong.
