Strengthening the judiciary in the country, at all levels, is a top priority for the  U.S. Embassy, for me personally and for Washington D.C., said the U.S. ambassador to North Macedonia, Angela Aggeler.

After visiting the Investigation Center at the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Skopje, where the U.S. Embassy donated computer and technical equipment, Ageler said that this is a good system and expressed confidence that interoperability will improve efficiency.

“I have been here since November and corruption in the country has been present for a long time. It’s not a problem that can be solved in a few months and there are already systems in place that require checking. That’s why today’s visit is good, to see how the investigations are being conducted,” said Aggeler.
