The Macedonian Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Jovanka Trenchevska, in an interview with the show Studio 10 on TV 24, spoke about the hate speech towards women, which is very widespread in the country. The minister pointed out that social media contribute to this, where people can say whatever they want to each other.
“It hurts me more when they attack my family than when they present qualifications for me personally. When women enter politics, they have already come to terms with the fact that they will be subject to gender attacks,” said Trenchevska.
The minister stresses that she follows social media because it is important what citizens think about the measures implemented by the Government and the ministry.
