The U.S ambassador to Skopje Angela Aggeler says that the persons are being investigated so that appropriate sanctions can be adopted. This is how she commented on the announcement that more than one person from the country would be on the so-called US blacklist.
She stressed that Richard Nephew, the anti-corruption coordinator of the U.S. State Department, who on an official visit to the country, did not come to announce the names of the persons from the country who will be found on the so-called U.S. sanctions blacklist.
“He’s not here to reveal names for the blacklist or anything like that. He’s here to discuss the processes, the sanctions, the protocols that the U.S. government has on the issue of corruption,” Aggeler said.
