Almost 80 percent of medical personnel in the country have experienced some kind of physical or verbal violence at their workplace.
In the survey conducted by the Medical Chamber last year, 77.9 percent of the doctors who answered the survey answered that they had experienced physical or verbal violence at the workplace during their working life. Of them, 79.9 percent responded that they experienced verbal violence with shouting and insults, 34.5 percent were victims of verbal violence with threats of physical violence, 43 respondents or 5.2 percent were exposed to physical violence without physical injury , and 13 respondents or 1.6 percent experienced physical violence with bodily injury.
