The minimum expenses of a family amounted to 50,070 MKD in March, according to the latest analysis of the Union of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM) for the basic monthly expenses for an average family of four.
According to the Union’s calculations, the most, or 19,263 MKD, were needed for food, and 13,417 MKD for bills, that is, for settling the monthly overhead expenses. At least 3,679 MKD were needed for transportation, and 3,186 MKD for hygiene.
The minimum wage in the country for March is MKD 20,175, according to the changes introduced by the Government. The State Statistics Office, on the other hand, calculated that the average salary in the country for the month of January is MKD 33,943.
