Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski welcomed Tuesday’s Government decision, which revised part of the frozen prices of fruits and vegetables. The PM informs that checks have been made at 20 large importers, and the findings will be announced soon.
“After consultations with importers and with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, as well as according to data from the Customs Administration, we found an increase in import prices of up to 30 percent, especially for tomatoes, cucumbers and beans. Controls will continue, and the state will implement measures that will ensure uninterrupted supply to citizens at appropriate prices and that will not disrupt the market,” Kovachevski noted after his visit to Levidiagro Dooel in Kochani on Wednesday.
