During the coming week, the National Bank will carry out several activities aimed at celebrating thirty-one years of monetary independence, i.e. the introduction of the Denar as the national currency and the independence of the National Bank, under the motto “We celebrate the Denar!”. The declaration of monetary independence on April 26 is a significant event for our country, and also a significant step in the completion of its independence.
Over the years, the National Bank was built and established as a modern, credible and internationally recognized, independent central bank, but also as an institution that encourages scientific thought and work, continuous education and financial literacy. From there, within the week of honoring, the Annual Award for Young Researchers for the best paper in the field of macroeconomics and banks and banking systems will be awarded.
