On Monday midnight, a Mercedes car, owned by a guard at the Idrizovo prison, was set on fire. This is the fifth vehicle in six months that has caught fire under strange circumstances. Unofficially, the suspicions are that, as in all the previous ones, in this car, the fire was set. The investigation is going in the direction that the orders to destroy the cars come from prisoners.
The Mercedes was parked in the guard’s yard. The fire happened two hours after midnight in Skopje’s Novo Selo. The security guard employed at Idrizovo noticed the fire and reacted quickly.
“Lj.K. put out the fire himself, and no one was injured. Measures are being taken to clear up the case,” said the Ministry of Interior.
