May we rot in prison for life if a denar is embezzled from the Corridors 8 and 10d project with Bechtel and Enka, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Political System Artan Grubi in his monthly address to the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia on the topic “Bechtel and Enka – opportunities, challenges and responsibilities”.
Grubi says that he does not know a single politician who would allow himself to engage in corrupt activities in a project implemented by such companies, noting that the ongoing chase is only for daily politics.
Grubi informes that funds have not been paid so far, and the first advance payment for the start of construction works will be published on the Open Finances portal.
“The amendments to the Law on Labor Relations, which are part of the package of laws for accelerating the implementation of the project, do not mean exploitation of workers and abuse of their rights. It is not about 60 hours of work, but about additional hours with the consent of the workers,” Grubi said.
