The State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) announced that it expects involvement and reaction from all relevant state entities in the case of the dismissal of the president of the Judicial Council, VesnaDameva.
Taking into account the position of the Judicial Council as the highest organ of the judicial power, which should advocate for uncompromising respect for the principle of the rule of law and for ensuring the independence of the judicial power as the third pillar of power, we express serious concern about the events of the session, of which video recordings were also presented in the media,” reads the statement issued by the SCPC.
