About 52 million vehicles transited through the toll booths on corridors 8 and 10 last year, with a total income of 53,242,070 euros, which represents an increase of 15 percent. Citizens still prefer cash payment with slightly over 55 percent, but electronic payment is also on the rise, accounting for about 30 percent of the total payment, and cashless payment with payment cards about 15 percent.
The State Roads Public Enterprise says that the toll service is no longer synonymous with filling negative content on the front pages, but has the image of a serious service that is available 24/7 to the traveler, and the employees are always up to the task.
