Тhe head of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) ,BiljanaIvanovska, replied to a media question whether there was a suspicion of corruption, given that Prime Minister DimitarKovachevski took his children to a work meeting in Washington DC, said that the PM should show evidence of who paid for the trip.
“Therefore, the PM should show who paid for the trip, because this leaves a bad impression, a bad perception is created that if the father is an official, the whole family can go. It is not a unique case. By all means, he should travel, but he should also show who is covering it,” said Ivanovska.
A decision on whether they will open an investigation into this case, as the SCPC head said, will be made today at the commission’s meeting.
