The Central Presidency of the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI), a party part of the ruling coalition, regrets that the five members of the party’s leadership have decided to withdraw from the Central Presidency.
DUI’s announcement states that such a decision was made at the meeting of the Central Committee on April 1st, 2023.
These are the members of the so-called “fire group”, which advocates reforms in the party. The members of this group left the meeting of the Central Presidency at the party headquarters in Mala Rechica, Tetovo, and announced that they will function as a faction in the party, something that, according to the party’s leadership, is not allowed by the statute.
In the announcement of the DUI, it is also stated that they decided to elect the leaders of the party branches on July 2, 2023.
