The average net wage paid per employee in March 2023 was MKD 34.925 and is up by 12.4 percent compared to March 2022, said the State Statistical Office on Monday.
This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in the sectors: construction (19.8 percent), education (15.0 percent) and accommodation and food service activities (14.9 percent).
An increase in the average monthly net wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: mining and quarrying (14.6 percent), manufacturing (6.4 percent) and arts, entertainment and recreation (5.4 percent). According to the SSO, the average gross wage paid per employee in March 2023 stood at MKD 52.318.
