Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski responded Thursday to VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski’s statement that “with the constitutional changes the Government is working to create a binational state”, by labeling it as speculation and the latest in a series of lies.
“This is the latest in the opposition’s series of lies, the same opposition said the country would have a million migrants, that it would be divided into cantons, that the adoption of the French proposal would make us ‘Bulgarized’ and assimilated and that we would lose the Macedonian language, but none of these things happened. This is the latest in a series of lies. When all the facts are against you, there’s nothing else you can do except come up with new falsities, spreading hysteria and fear among the people, and not resulting in anything good,” Kovachevski stressed in a reply to a media question.
