The city of Skopje, as a result of the incompetence of the local government led by VMRO-DPMNE, has a debt of three million euros, but also has a blocked account and is approaching complete bankruptcy, said SDSM in a press release on Tuesday.

The ruling party stresses that VMRO-DPMNE, the largest unit of local self-government with by far the largest budget of 100 million euros, has brought it to a state of non-functionality and near bankruptcy.

“They spent over 100 million euros of public money and brought Skopje to bankruptcy, and bankruptcy means the complete collapse of the City’s system,”reads the press release.
