The increasing offer of work and higher wages in Croatia attract Macedonian citizens to work in this country, so whole Macedonian families are already leaving for seasonal work. They mostly work as waiters, bartenders, in hotels, restaurants, cafes, but also as valets and cooks. The salaries of waiters in hotels range from 730 to 1200 euros.
Accommodation and meals are provided for seasonal workers. Some hotels have built additional facilities to accommodate their workers. As a rule, three meals a day are provided and workers are paid for travel expenses. The demand for waiters, cooks and other staff is high.
