If Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski were to be blacklisted by the United States, he would consider it the biggest defeat in his career. This is what he said on Thursday, when asked for a comment, after the name of the mayor of Struga, Ramiz Merko, appeared on the U.S. blacklist, as already announced by the U.S. State Department.

“If I were to be blacklisted in the United States, as a person who completed part of his education in the USA, I will not only resign, I will consider it the biggest defeat in my personal and professional career,” PM Kovachevski said.
