MKD.mk poll: VMRO-DPMNE in the lead, Kovachevski’s rating in decline

When asked “which party will you vote for in the upcoming elections”, more than 43 percent of the respondents replied that they will not vote, that they do not know who they will vote for, or that they will cancel their ballot. VMRO-DPMNE (22%), 11.5% of respondents said they will vote for SDSM, DUI 9.2%, Levica 5%, Alliance for Albanians 3.5%, etc., the results show that VMRO-DPMNE is in a convincing lead, reveals the MKD.mk poll conducted by the Market Vision agency between June 5 and June 16.
Approximately two-thirds or 60.9% of respondents do not trust any leader of a political party on the Macedonian political scene. While of those who declared, 12% trust in Hristijan Mickoski, the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, 6.1% in Dimitar Kovachevski, 5.9% in Ali Ahmeti, 3.7% in Dimitar Apasiev, 2% in Nikola Gruevski, 9% of respondents, etc.
Compared to the February poll, Mickoski has a slight increase (from 11% to 12%) in popularity among voters, and Kovachevski’s decline – from 8.2 to 6.1 percent. Ahmeti’s popularity also increased during this period – from 5.1 to 5.9 percent.
It is very interesting that the former leader of the Alliance for the Albanian’s, Zijadin Sela, is more popular (1.2%) than the party’s current leader Arben Taravari (0.9%).
For the VMRO-DPMNE voters, the least acceptable option for a ruling coalition partner is DUI – even 70.7% declared against this option.
