The Ohrid-Struga region was hit by a hailstorm Saturday, followed by intense rainfall. At times, the hail was the size of a walnut, causing damage, especially to fruit trees and crops.
The mayor of the Municipality of Debrca, Zoran Nogacheski pointed out that the damage to agricultural crops is significant.
“I can say with great certainty that the damage to agricultural crops is 100 percent. The municipality will carry out all the standard procedures for reporting the damage, and as I said, an assessment is not even necessary, it is 100 percent,” Mayor Nogacheski said in a Facebook post.
