For the second application in June for enrollment in high schools in the academic year 2023/2024, there are vacancies for 23,903 students. After the first registration in the June enrollment period, there are 5,438 vacant places in high school and 18,059 places in vocational education.
As informed by the Ministry of Education and Science, according to the language of instruction, 18,002 places are available for lessons in Macedonian language, 5,227 for lessons in the Albanian language, 612 for lessons in the Turkish language, and 62 vacant places for lessons in Serbian.
The results of the first application for enrollment show that almost twice as many students enrolled in vocational schools than in high schools – out of 12,996 enrolled (out of 16,007 registered), 8,235 students enrolled in vocational education, and 4,606 in high school.
