The employees of the Public Revenue Office (PRO) postponed the general strike scheduled for Tuesday. The reason for the decision, as stated by the PRO union, is the postponement of the reconciliation process after the appointed mediator Lazar Jovevski asked to be excused, because he is abroad and cannot meet the legal deadlines.
The PRO union announced that they will propose a new mediator today, thus the new deadlines of three days for convening the first meeting with the mediator will begin.
“The mediator is exempted. He was abroad, and the deadline for him to act is three days. During that period he could not return. Tomorrow we have to propose someone and send a letter to the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy,” the head of the PRO union Vase Nedanovski told the media.
