Albanian exports on the rise, Macedonian export to Albania decreases

In the first five months of 2023, Albanian exports to Macedonia increased by almost 1.7 billion lek (15.7 million euros) compared to the same period last year.

According to the official data of the Institute of Statistics, INSTAT, for foreign trade, in the period January-May, goods worth about 9.2 billion lek or 82.2 million euros were exported to Macedonia.

Against the growth of Albanian exports, the import of Macedonian products in Albania is decreasing.

In this reporting period, there was a decrease in the import of goods from North Macedonia by 813 million lek (7.5 million euros).
