The system for joint electronic toll collection using one tag when traveling in North Macedonia and in Serbia has successfully passed all tests, is ready for use and is functional, the Public Enterprise for State Roads (JPDP).
The project was announced in September 2021 as part of the “Open Balkans” initiative, and the start date for application is July 1 of this year. It will work in such a way that instead of stopping or buying an additional device or card, drivers from both countries will be able to pay tolls in both North Macedonia and Serbia with one device.
