Gruevski, Stavreski, Kancheska, Todorovikj, Alarova and Zdravev among the suspects for money laundering in the “Skopje 2014” project, EUR 57.6 million laundered

Fourteen Macedonians and one Italian, as well as seven companies, of which 4 are Macedonian and three are Italian, are part of the suspects in the investigation of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Corruption dubbed “Phoenix”. Although they were not mentioned by name, according to the functions and the time for which the investigation is conducted, in the “Phoenix” case, the former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, the former Culture Minister Elizabeta Kancheska-Milevska, the former Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski, the former head of The Council of the Municipality of Centar, Vladimir Zdravev, as well as the two former mayors of Centar, Vladimir Todorovikj and Violeta Alarova. All 15 are suspected of abuse of office and money laundering during the construction of 11 monuments, part of the project known to the public as “Skopje 2014”.

Gruevski, Stavreski, Kancheska, Todorovikj, Alarova, Zdravev, are part of the suspects for the purchase of 11 monuments from the “Skopje 2014” project.
